Ref : Dengue Outbreak in Ara
Dear Neighbours,
Urgent Community Action.
Together we can stop this situation from worsening.
Our Community is currently experiencing a rise in dengue cases and protecting ourselves requires a collective effort.
The below explains the causes and, most importantly, the steps we must all take to keep our families and neighbours safe.
What is causing this Outbreak?
The primary cause is the presence of the Aedes mosquito in our area. This mosquito is a day time biter and thrives in our urban environment.
Causes
Stagnant Water > Even a small amount of stagnant water is a breeding ground.
Uncovered water containers and water tanks.
Clogged roof gutters, drains and drainpipes.
Discarded tyres, bottles and cans.
Plant pot plates and trays that hold water.
Ornamental fountains and ponds that are not cleared.
Weather Conditions > Recent rain and warm temperatures create perfect conditions for mosquitoes to breed rapidly.
How to protect Yourself, Your Family and Neighbours :
The 5 minute mosquito wipeout
"Do the " B-L-O-C-K check"
Break up hardened soil in plant pots to prevent water puddles.
Lift and empty water from plant pot plates.
Overturn any unused pails, containers and storage items.
Cover all water storage containers tightly with a lid or mosquito proof mesh.
Keep roof gutters and drains clear of leaves and debris.
Personal Protection to avoid bites,
Apply approved insect repellent on exposed skin when outdoors.
Wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and preferably light colours.
Install screens on windows and doors is an option.
Use plug-in mosquito zappers or coils in well ventilated areas.
Your Ara Committee is in contact with the health Officer for Petaling District.
(Fogging will be done in intervals by the health authority until we eradicate this menace)
Let's work together to protect our community. Please do your part and encourage your neighbours to do the same.
Mosquito breeding in one yard can affect the entire street.

Ref : Basic Guidelines for Pet Owners
Dear Neighbours,
Due to numerous complaints regarding pet waste left in common areas, we decided to come up with some basic guidelines for our pet lovers.
While we understand that pets are beloved members of many households, It's important to ensure our community remains clean, safe, and pleasant for everyone.
These measures will help maintain hygeine, prevent odors, and ensure a respectful environment for all residents. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to keeping our community clean.
"Please visit our Lost & Found for Pets page to read through the guidelines"
Thank you for your understanding and support!

Ref : TNB land TOL approval for Agricultural development
Dear Residents',
TNB has given approval for their land next to Jalan Ara 7/1 and 7/2 to be developed by an external party, " Premier Planting Sdn. Bhd." for agricultural purposes.
Our Ara Committee was briefed by the MD of the Company on plans for the said development.
The Company is seeking Our Ara Community's approval to build an access road from Jalan Ara 7/2 leading into the said land.
Our Ara Committee has since replied to the Company MD after much discussion to disallow this to proceed.
Reasons,
1) Trucks will be passing through residential roads disrupting harmony and the safety of Our residents'
2) The Company plans to build a water retention pond on that piece of land and water to be allegedly filtered before being released into our drains.
3) Our Community's Security is Our Concern
The Company may resort to seek approval from MBPJ to build this access road which is within the Company's rights.
Our Ara Committee will keep you updated if anything else arises after this.
Attached below are ;
1) Company's Layout plan for development
2) Company's Approval Letter to develop land from TNB

Dear Residents',
We've come up with a new Security SOP which will take effect June 1st 2025.
Residents' will be updated if any other amendments are made.
This SOP will be displayed in all the guardhouses (Both versions - BM & Eng).
We needed the Security team to be more aware of Our Security needs to ensure tighter security for Our Community at all times.
The Security team should be monitored "BY ALL" and an assessment on their performance will be carried out every quaterly by the Committee.
Please do let us know if you notice a situation where Security is lax. We will gladly take it up with Our Security Manager Mr. Rahim to improve.
We would also like to thank Mr. Asok (comm) for helping put this SOP together.
The new SOP can be viewed in Our Security Page.

Best Regards,

PLATINUM 2 SECURITY SERVICES (M) SDN BHD- CESSATION OF MR JIMMY LIM AND REPLACEMENT BY EN ABDUL RAHIM BIN MAAMOR AS MANAGER IN ARA RESIDENCES
The ARA RESIDENTS’COMMITTEE would wish to advise the following:
Mr Jimmy Lim Chow Bock, with immediate effect, have ceased to be the manager of Platinum 2 Security Services (M) Sdn Bhd (“Platinum 2”) and as such will NOT provide security services for the LAGENDA, MASTIARA and NASTURA sectors. This has come suddenly and unexpectantly, without any notice from him to the Committee.

En Rahim, on behalf of Platinum 2 will provide the same services as Mr Jimmy Lim. With immediate effect kindly make all security payments to En Rahim and his designated team instead of Mr Jimmy Lim as per the Notice.
En Rahim have noted that ALL security payments, be it monthly, quarterly etc that were paid by Residents to Mr Jimmy will be honoured. Kindly keep your “Platinum 2” receipt as evidence.
In the meanwhile, the ARA RESIDENTS Committee is reviewing the security services with the view of further improving it with En Rahim. The existing team of guards will remain (and reviewed if need be).
Achieving peace of mind for your family and home doesn’t have to be pricey or difficult. If all residents contribute to the security services it will help in ensuring resilience against potential harm as well as enhancing the safety to our community. We are glad to note that ARA Residences have been free from any break-ins for a long time.
Thank you
Yours sincerely,
On behalf of the ARA RESIDENTS’ Committee,
