Ref : Garden Waste Collection
Dear Neighbours,
Numerous complaints regarding waste left in common areas and the lack of consistency by MBPJ & it's Contractors on garden waste collection. The Committee met up with the representative from MBPJ & KDEB (MBPJ's Contractor)
Below are some of the agreed solutions / recommendations by MBPJ / KDEB.
Garden Waste Collection (Max 3 bags of garden waste per household)
Collection days > Twice a week (Thursday & Saturday)
But sometimes it can be on a different day if the truck is not available due to unforseen circumstances.
Additional trucks can be arranged if needed upon request and it will depend on availability of trucks.
For waste not collected after a week, KDEB will ensure collection is done asap.
Whatsapp En. Azmi PIC of KDEB Ara Sector @ 013 2658130.
( Contact En. Azmi Only on Working Days, Monday - Friday from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm )
Please Provide En. Azmi,
Photographs of garden waste not collected.
Your Address
Bulk Waste ( Large items, discarded furniture )
KDEB will help our community discard these items provided it is arranged neatly OUTSIDE your house and NOT in your PORCH area. They will not go into your house to collect.
Once again, please whatsapp Enche Azmi and "allow him to provide you with his available dates"
Please provide En. Azmi,
Details of Items to be discarded
Photograph of items.
Address
Important note;
Please be reasonable on your request . En. Azmi is doing this out of his
scope to assist our community by providing our residents his personal mobile number.
It is very kind of him to do so. Please be polite when engaging with En. Azmi.
We do not wish to burn bridges with people who are helpful
Tree branches for disposal
Only small cut-up branches tied up neatly will be collected by KDEB. Preferably avoid putting these branches into disposable bags as they tear easily due to its sharp edges.
Residents who use external contractors to trim or cut their tree MUST clear it themselves.
For trimming of trees*, residents are advised to call the MBPJ hotline @ 03 79542020 or send in your request thru SISPAA (Sistem Pengurusan Aduan Awam) *register with SISPAA and provide details, photos, request, etc.
It's FOC through SISPAA *
I believe with the above addtional assistance being provided by MBPJ & KDEB, there should be no more excuses for residents to dump garden waste & old furniture everywhere.

"Service disruption of the domestic waste collection in the past two weeks, was due to the KDEB Ara team having gone into Covid-19 quarantine. The team has been substituted with a backup team that is not familiar with Ara Residences' areas. It ends up some roads/areas have not been covered. KDEB notified us after receiving our official complaint, and the good news is the KDEB Ara team is now back in service."
